Evacuating from fires can be very stressful if you're not prepared. When the fire moves as rapid as it does when the Santa Ana winds create wind gust, sometimes people only have 5 minutes from when fire officials and police issue evacuation orders.
But when you're a "pro" at evacuating you and many of your neighbors already have a plan on what to grab and where to go.

Hours after news broke on the passing away of Kobe Bryant, fans began to gather to pay their respects at many different locations around Los Angeles. One place they went was the Mamba Sports Academy where Kobe was in route to as his helicopter crashed.
I spoke with a dad who was in the academy for the "Mamba Cup" ahead of his son's game.

A 16-year-old student allegedly brought a .45 caliber handgun to Saugus High and open fired in the school quad.
The school was on lock down for 3 hours. Parents had to wait in a nearby park to be reunited with their kids.
One student recorded her time while in lockdown.

A 7.1 earthquake caused a lot of structural damage to a trailer park in Ridgecrest. The damage ranged from interior damage to even some trailers burning down.
Due to uncertainty with aftershocks and a lack of available space in nearby shelter, a group of families opted to sleep outside.
