After a middle school student died from injuries sustained by being "sucker punched" by other students, Moreno Valley community members were left to grieve.
The school board held a close meeting for parents only to begin working on solutions to the bullying issues around the district. Some parents don't think much will come out of the meeting because they have lost trust in the school board
Bullying Lead to Student Death
Late 2019 was one of the most active fire seasons in Los Angeles. Many people lost home and took damage to their businesses.
The Easy Fire that almost burned down the Reagan Library didn't spare a nearby top soil company on the back side of the ridge. The day after the fire, the owner of this business had to go back and assess the damage done to both the property and his product.

Due to health and safety risk for both people living in the encampment and in the surrounding neighborhood, the City of Los Angeles cleared out one of the largest encampments in the San Fernando Valley.
However, due to lack of low income housing or sheltering the over 100 people living inside the encampment had nowhere to go.
Homeless Encampment Sweep
On October 1st of 2017, a man open fired on a crowd of people at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, killing 58 and wounding over 400 more. It is the deadliest mass shooting in US history and was the topic of Eminem's latest single "Darkness" in which the video shows a reenactment of that night.
I spoke with a survivor of that night on the day the song and video was released.
